Scene 1

This scene starts off with Justin, Steve, and Colin printing out flyers on the Toynbee tiles to pass out to Sevy’s neighbors. Initially, Justin, Steve, and Colin visited the neighborhood without knowing that Sevy is the current resident of the address they found and through the interviews with Sevy’s neighbors, they found out that Sevy is an intelligent yet a reclusive man.

With Justin and his crew surveying the neighbor, evidence putting Sevy in the spot as the Toynbee tiler shows up. Photographs of tester tiles around Sevy’s neighborhood is shown while eerie yet dramatic classical music accompanies them, highlighting its importance. Jon Foy also choose to give a close up shot of the padlocks on Sevy’s door, hinting at Sevy’s antisocial behavior and maybe that Sevy is hiding something and that something is that he is the tiler.
